Advanced and CAMSJ implements programs to prevent asthma, sleep apnea, and the harms of smoking.

Advanced Petrochemical Company, in cooperation with the College of Applied Medical Sciences (CAMS) at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, implemented programs to prevent Asthma, Sleep apnea syndrome (SAS), and the harms of smoking over two days (October 25 and 26, 2023)‎, in conjunction with the Respiratory Care Week 2023.

Advanced Petrochemical Company adopts these programs, which come within the corporate social responsibility it undertakes for the Employees, Contractors, and community, through which it aims to achieve a positive social impact.

Eng. Fahad bin Salem Al Matrafi, the CEO of Advanced Petrochemical Company, said that “the company continues to adopt and support social initiatives, especially sustainable initiatives, that target a wide segment of society”, stressing the Company’s keenness and constant endeavor to achieve leadership in serving the society. ‏

‏The company’s CEO added that “the programs to prevent asthma, sleep apnea syndrome, and the harmful effects of smoking aim to raise the level of knowledge of these diseases among the general public, especially since these diseases have a direct impact on human health”. ‏

CEO of the Advanced Eng. Al Matrafi honored the College of Applied Medical Sciences‎, represented by Dr. Abeer AL-Subaie, the Dean of the CAMS, and the participating work team. Eng. Al Matrafi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the CAMS for such initiative and effective participation in awareness programs.

It is noteworthy that the awareness programs witnessed a large turnout from Employees and specialists those interested in the field of respiratory diseases, who participated actively to shed light on the latest medical practices and stressed the importance of early diagnosis such diseases..
